Peacenik launches on 2nd April, the anniversary of Martin Luther King's mountaintop speech, with backing from Premier Radio.  Premier Radio are to run a 10 week advertising campaign promoting Peacenik. Welcoming the launch Tim Nafziger from Christian Peacemaker Teams in the UK said;  "The Peacenik fund could be a important source of support for Christian Peacemaker Team members who need help to cover travel costs to CPT projects around the world."
